L'or Q'idée

Un très bon moment passé à l'Or Q'Idée pour nos 25 ans de mariage où tout était parfait.

Normally, I have some critique to give. Because nothing is ever perfect.
But this experience was as close to perfect, as could be.

Actually, it really was a great and tasty menu.
And it was a rich journey, through the different techniques and ingredients that was being served on the plates.

I had the baked/grilled banana for dessert.
The waitress came out midway through the preparations, and showed it to me.
And the aromas that spread, when she lifted the glass lid from the plate – was something that stuck with me, after we left the restaurant.
Such a great impression that had on me!
That aroma still sticks with me here in the evening, while thinking back.

As we drove home, I could still taste the black garlic, mixed with the sweets, creamy and acidity, from the other ingredients, along with the round and full, baked banana taste.

As I sat in the car, I regretted not ordering the banana dessert for a second time.
That taste was unique, in its own way.
I have used Black Garlic in my own dishes, many times before.
So I was familiar to the taste.
But I have never tasted it in a dessert.

I thought it to be a bold move of taste.
Along with the acidity from fruits and the coffee taste from the puree, it was something I would have never thought of to mix with cream, baked banana and icecream.
That dessert, put the final touch on the experience!
This experience, had a whole palette of taste.
And that is something, that I will surely remember!

Such a great and tasty menu.
And such a great experience!

We will definitely come back someday.

Toujours très bien reçu et un service de grande qualité.
Le côté humain est toujours mis en avant.

Accueil chaleureux. Cuisine d'exception. Personnel d'une attention exceptionnel. Moment agréable dans un cadre extérieur simple mais joliment décoré.
